Astrological Sign Virgo

Originating from the constellation of Virgo, the sixth astrological sign in the zodiac is Virgo. Virgo, in astrology, is considered to be a negative, feminine sign. It is one of the four mutable signs and also considered to be an earth sign. The planet Mercury is the ruler of this astrological sign. In the western astrology, or also known as the tropical astrology, individuals who are born from August 23 to September 22 are considered to be Virgo individuals. Virgo individuals are associated with the astrological 6th house. Being in this house means that one loves to work, carry out duties and chores. They also love to give service to others and even to animals. They also are very careful about one’s health and well-being. This astrological star sign is also the only sign that is represented by a female.

She was the virgin daughter of the goddess Themis and the god Zeus. Virgo is also associated with Persephone. As the goddess of innocence and purity, she was also the daughter of the guardian of marriage and the goddess of agriculture, Demeter. It is said that the astrological symbol of Virgo represents a virgin with torso and arms holding a sheaf of wheat.

Virgo individuals are perfectionists, polite and well mannered, intelligent, meticulous and precise, witty, reserved, methodical, and insightful.
