Palm Reading – Chiromancy
The art of palm reading has been going on for centuries. It’s considered to be founded within Indian and gypsy culture. The goal of palm reading is to be able to analyze a person’s character and foretell their future by using the lines in the palms of their hands. Palm reading is also called Chiromancy and the people who conduct this practice are often called palm readers or chirologists.
The lines read in palm ready can be conflicting at times as various teachings have different interpretations for what the lines represent. Since there are different interpretations you would find that two palm readers may interpret your reading in conflicting ways. The lines that are most discussed with palm reading are the heart line, the head line, the life line, and the fate line. These are the lines that the palm reader will be identifying when reading your palm.
Palmists also look into various aspects of your hand including the size and shape, fingers, nails, and the overall texture of your skin. The palm reader is usually taught to divide your hand shape into one of the four major categories. These categories are earth, wind, fire, and air. Each category represents a certain personality trait. The fire category for example is said to depict a person with a bad temper but who is also very creative and full of energy. The reading of lines also plays a vital part in the overall reading, for example the fate line is said to determine the person’s path in life.
There has been no confirmed data that palm reading is an accurate way to interpret a person’s personality trait or to foretell their future, but it’s been widely used for centuries. It is often considered by skeptics to be another form of attempting to be psychic even though palm reading focuses on character more so than a cold reading.
